MHPS has 3 bands - The Training Band, the Senior Band and the Concert Band.
Who can join the band?
Anyone in Year three or above can join. You don't need previous musical experience to join the Training Band. Auditions are held are held at the start of each school year for the Senior and Concert Bands.
Band Practice
Practice sessions are held twice weekly. Every practice session must be attended by all band members, as they are part of a team.
Training Band practice on Monday morning at 7.45am for an 8am start and
Thursday at lunch time.
Senior Band practice on Thursday morning at 7.45am for an 8am start and
Tuesday at lunch time
Concert Band practice on Wednesday morning at 7.45am for an 8am start and
Monday at lunch time
Exciting Band Activities
All bands attend an annual Band Camp. The bands have many opportunities to perform. They perform at school assemblies and Open Days, at the Mosman Day festivities, music festival competitions and at the Taronga Zoo.
